What models are available?

CRB1SW-5kWh, CRB2SW-10kWh, and CRB3SW-15kWh — offering 1, 2, or 3 battery packs respectively.

What does the model number mean?

It reflects the product type (CRB = ESS System), model sequence, capacity value, and unit (Wh).

Can I add more battery packs later?

Yes, the system supports scaling from 1 to 3 battery packs.

What's included in the box?

The inverter, pedestal, mounting hardware, connection cables, PV connectors, a Smart WiFi Communicator, and documentation (quick start guide, quality certificate, packing list).

What are the dimensions of each system size?

Installation

Can I install this myself?

No — installation must be done by a qualified, professional electrical engineer with relevant certifications.

Can it be installed outdoors?

It's rated IP53 but is recommended for indoor installation.

What's the required ambient temperature range?

-25°C to 60°C (with derating above 45°C).

How much clearance space do I need around the unit?

At least 300–1000mm depending on the side, per the installation space guidelines in the manual.

Can I mount it lying down or upside-down?

No, it must always be mounted upright, with no more than a 15° lean allowed.

Does it need to be grounded?

Yes, a protective earth connection is mandatory to avoid electric shock risk.

Can multiple inverters be installed in parallel?

Yes, the system supports parallel connection mode for multiple units.

Do I need a smart meter or CT?

Yes, the system requires either a Smart Meter (CHINT-DDSU666) or a CT (Current Transformer) to monitor usage and prevent current reflux to the grid — the meter is optional if using CT.

What's the recommended AC breaker rating?

At least 50A.

What's the recommended DC breaker rating?

At least 25A.

Can I connect a generator?

Yes, via the GEN port, though it's disabled by default and must be enabled through the app.

What's the PV input voltage range?

90V to 520V depending on the inverter model.

What happens if I connect the PV with reversed polarity?

It can permanently damage the inverter — always check polarity before connecting.

Is the BACKUP port meant to connect to the grid?

No, the BACKUP port must never be connected to the grid.

App & Monitoring

What app do I use to manage the system?

The EnerConsole App, available on the App Store and Google Play, or via QR code on the inverter.

How do I connect the system to WiFi?

Using the included Smart WiFi Communicator, paired through the app's setup flow (note: 2.4GHz WiFi only).

How many times can I request a verification code?

Up to 5 times per hour and 10 times per day.

Can I monitor real-time energy production remotely?

Yes, once connected to WiFi, you can view real-time PV, grid, battery, and load data from anywhere.

What energy modes can I choose from in the app?

Self-Consumption Mode, Feed-in Priority Mode, Time-Based Control Mode, and Back-up Mode.

What's the difference between Self-Consumption and Feed-in Priority Mode?

Self-Consumption prioritizes Load > Battery > Grid, while Feed-in Priority prioritizes Load > Grid > Battery.

What is Back-up Mode used for?

It prioritizes charging the battery quickly (Battery > Load > Grid), with an option to allow AC charging.

Can I schedule charging and discharging times?

Yes, through Time-Based Control Mode, where you can set charge/discharge start and end times and power limits.

What happens during a grid outage?

The system automatically switches to Off-Grid Mode, powering only critical loads from the battery/PV.

What's the warranty period?

10 years (subject to the specific warranty policy terms).

Where can I find my product's serial number?

On the inverter's nameplate, and viewable in the app under Devices > Inverter or Maintenance settings.

What certifications does the system have?

IEC 62109-1&2, IEC62619, UN38.3, RoHS, and NRS 097-2-1 for grid connection.

Who do I contact if a part is missing or damaged?

Contact your supplier immediately after unpacking and inspecting against the packing list.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

How often should I clean the unit?

The heat sink should be checked and cleaned yearly.

How often should I check the electrical connections?

Semiannually, ensuring all AC, DC, and communication cables are secure and undamaged.

What do the LED indicators mean?

There are 6 LEDs (PV, BAT, GRID, BACKUP, COM, ALARM) showing status — solid, blinking, or off indicates normal, warning, or fault conditions.

What should I do if I see a fault code on the app?

Check the specific troubleshooting guidance for that code in the manual, or contact customer service if it persists.

How long should I wait before touching the unit after powering it off?

At least 10 minutes, due to residual voltage and heat.

What if the battery shows "under voltage" or "over voltage"?

This can be occasional and self-resolve, but if it repeats, check settings or contact customer service — the battery may need replacing if faulty.

Can I disconnect cables while the system is running?

No — never disconnect AC/DC terminals under load, as this creates a fire risk.

What should I do before performing any maintenance?

Fully isolate the inverter: turn off the PV switch, and disconnect PV, battery, and AC terminals.

Is it safe to open the front cover myself?

No — only qualified personnel should open the inverter; unauthorized access can cause injury and void the warranty.

Can children be near the unit?

No, children should be kept away from the inverter at all times.

Does the unit get hot during operation?

Yes, some parts can exceed 60°C — avoid touching during operation.

What's the minimum insulation resistance required for PV panels?

It must exceed 18.33kΩ to ground, otherwise there's a shock risk.
